Project Overview
For my project I made a new position for my fraternity Sigma Chi. The purpose was to make a designated position for intramurals. In the past, it has just been about putting a team together with whoever wants to be on it and it is not unified. What the position does, is try to make a sigma chi only team. Also, the chair will look out for the behavior of the sigma chi’s. In the past, the sigma chis have been known to have poor behavior in intramurals and that is not a good way to represent the organization. The intramural chairs job is also to watch out for all of the sigma chis and make sure they are invited to play. A lot of times only the more athletic players will get invited so, this position is to make sure that everyone was invited and gets a chance to play. The goal of the position is to represent sigma chi with good character. Before, the Recreation Department did not think highly of Sigma Chi’s. Now, we have a better relationship with them and haven’t had a problem since.
